Raising Champions: Guiding Parents of High School Athletes to Help Their Kids Win the Future

APRIL, 2023
As a parent of a high school student athlete, you know the hard work and dedication it takes for your kid to excel both on and off the field. As a coach and mentor to student athletes, I believe in empowering them to not only win on the field but to win their future. That’s why I’m excited to share my self-paced digital course with you, Maximizing the Student Athlete Experience. It’s technically for your student athlete, but if you know they don’t have the time or the capacity for it, you can enroll and use the information to help them maximize their experience and win their future.
In the video lessons, I briefly touch on developing athletic talent but also becoming leaders and strong individuals who can overcome life’s challenges. As parents, we want our children to succeed, but more importantly, we want them to be equipped to succeed in all areas of their lives. That’s why I believe that the lessons learned on the field are just as valuable as the ones learned in this virtual classroom.
Student athletes are not just competitors; they are students and leaders who develop lifelong relationships with teachers, coaches, and each other. They arrive wide-eyed and graduate wise beyond their years, having become the best version of themselves. The combination of mental conditioning and my book, The Table, help convey how important it is for student athletes to apply what they learn in sport and beyond to become leaders in the race of life.
As a coach, I understand that not all student athletes will become professional athletes, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be successful. Success is not just about talent; it’s about being strong enough to get up off of life’s metaphorical arena floor. It’s about having the resilience and determination to overcome obstacles and become a better version of oneself. And that’s what I’m striving to teach student athletes.
There’s nothing like seeing the joy and pride in the faces of student athletes as they celebrate their accomplishment with their team, friends and families. As parents, we play a crucial role in empowering our children to win their future. Let’s continue to support and encourage them to become the best version of themselves both on and off the field.
In conclusion, I highly encourage you, as the parent of a student athlete, to consider taking my new course, Maximizing the Student Athlete Experience. It perfectly captures the essence of what we strive to achieve as coaches and parents. Let’s continue to empower our student athletes to win their future!
